Vernon Kilns Pottery, Vernon, CA 1916-1960 Here is a true attention getter! Vintage cup and saucer is extra large - cup is 4 quarts! Eye catching glaze in yellow, orange, white and brown. Comes from the estate of the late Bill Sterns, founder of the Museum of CA Design in Los Angeles. Saucer measures 15" wide. Cup measures 9 1/2" x about 5" tall. Great condition. Photo 9 shows this in our Vernon reference book. Photo 10 shows one of Mr. Sterns books and photo 11 shows Bill next to his collection of colossal cups/saucers in an LA Times article.
